AMX5 - Coded Magnetic Safety Switch

A coded magnetic safety switch complying with EN60947-5-1, EN60204-1 and E954-1. The unit is available in polycarbonate or stainless steel housings, and detects the opening of guard doors on dangerous machines. It may be used as a standalone device for Category 2 applications, or meeting category 4 when used with an appropriate safety relay. The switch incorporates monitored relay outputs, providing greater reliability when mounted in close proximity to ferrous materials, higher current capacity and resistance to vibration. The switch uses a patented electronic process that enables it to detect contact failure and open the safety contacts.
